For three decades, the children are in the core of the museum’s activities. Throughout the school year, educational programs specifically designed to stimulate their imagination, to inspire and to surprise them, are implemented.
Programs suited to the needs of each team, decode the messages and ideas that contemporary art always conveys, prompting children to discover meanings, relations and proportions in a fertile educational environment.
The Workshop provides a hands-on experience, realising a broad circle of programs that derive their topics from the wealth of the museum’s collections and the practices of the most important Greek visual artists. The museum educators ensure that each school or pre-school visit, turns into a real life experience.
The Vorres Museum gardens with a history expanding over 50 years, constitute a living showcase of Greek nature, brimming with traditional plants and herbs of the Mediterranean flora.
The Nursery opens its gates for the very first time! The new educational programs that are implemented in the gardens and the nursery of the museum are a simple yet efficient way to sensitize children in environmental matters and make them experience firsthand the economy, the harmony and the beauty that lie in nature.
