Herbarium: Printmaking & Bookbinding (Ages 9-13)

Workshop for children (Ages 9-13)
The multifaceted art forms of printmaking and bookbinding meet the rich garden of the Vorres Museum.
Children will have the opportunity to learn the craft of printmaking, designing, carving, and printing unique works inspired by Mediterranean horticulture and the museum’s hidden gardens.
The workshop’s goal is to create botanical manuals in the style of classic herbariums, fully illustrated and hand-bound.
The carving is done on soft material using printmaking tools, with full safety and guidance, while printing takes place on a small manual printing press.
The produced prints will be bound using classical artistic bookbinding techniques, and each young artist will take home an authentic work of art.
