The 365 Project: Angelos Papadimitriou

Exhibition
On Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 12:30 p.m., the Vorres Museum Gallery inaugurates its new exhibition program titled “The 365 Project,” where every two months, an artist will be invited to present a new work among the permanent collection of the museum’s gallery.
“The 365 Project” opens with the work of Angelos Papadimitriou: The Power of Common Taste.
Artist Angelos Papadimitriou needs no introduction.
He is the only Greek artist who, over the course of a fifty-year career, has managed to engage with all art forms, commenting with sharp irony and deep generosity on everything that makes our people vibrant and unique.
These qualities are what drive him to offer his life recklessly for a passion or a cause. His heroes are everyday people, living in the solitude imposed by their own will. Their greatness lies in their unyielding strength and their awareness that they are doing what is right.
By placing the human at the center of his world, the artist portrays his heroes as idealized, according to a kind of aesthetic ethics—until the viewer comes to recognize themselves within them.
A tireless commentator, he continuously proves the empathy in which his entire body of work is immersed.
The program is curated and organized by Olga Daniilopoulou.
